Happy 2nd Birthday, Will! You are the most perfect way to finish off our family.

• You want to do everything your big brothers do and then some.

Bounce U, Bounce Me

Zachary wanted to celebrate his 5th birthday at Bounce U.  We were happy to oblige his request.  Who doesn't want a child worn out after 2 hours of bouncing? We decided to keep the list small so that Zachary could really spend time with each friend.  I think Zachary and his guests had a great time.  It's still hard to believe Zachary is 5.  Time flies when you're having fun.

Kindergarten

This week has been a BIG week for Zachary (affectionately called OFZ, Terminator and Zachy).  He turned 5 on Tuesday and had his first day of Kindergarten today.  He was more than ready to go and I was happy to oblige him.  I love his sweet spirit, but he thrives off social interaction and doing work, and well, we just chilled this summer.  I think he was bored with me and his brothers.  He got up this morning, got dressed, did his thing, grabbed his stuff and was ready to go.  He beat all of us to the car.  Not a tear was shed today either! Big brother walked him to his class, which I think Zachary loved and set off the "upstairs".  You know, you're big time when you get to go upstairs for school.  I'm looking forward to seeing both their beautiful faces as they get off the bus.  Riding the bus was a non-negotiable for Zachary.  I told him drop off today and next week are with me walking him in.  He seemed ok with that.  Here's to the start of this guy's school career.  I believe this one will grab the world by its ear and show it a thing or 2.  Honestly, he already has.

3rd Grade

Andrew's 1st day of 3rd grade was on Monday.  He wasn't too thrilled about summer vacation ending, but when he arrived home from school he was excited about 3rd grade, his teacher(s), classmates, chorus and playing the recorder.  I sure hope this enthusiasm carries over into the next 180 days.  It's hard for me to believe he's old enough to be in 3rd grade, halfway through elementary school.  Aghhh! Time needs to slow down.  One a side note, he did tell me 2 girls in his class asked to be his girlfriend.  It's for sure too early to be dealing with that.
