Sweet Dreams

Since this blog serves as our baby book, I suppose it needs to go down that Will.i.Am slept through the night last night. He went down at 11:45pm and woke up at 6:30am. Hopefully this trend will continue.

Splish Splash

Will was takin' a bath. These are from a few weeks ago. Yes, he's had other baths since then, but I don't take pictures during each one.

On another note... can I tell you that Will.i.Am is getting chunky? He's chubbing up quite nicely. Can I also say (with major hopes of not jinxing myself) that last night he went down at 11:15 slept till 4:15, went back down at 5:15 and we HAD TO WAKE HIM UP at 8:45???!!! Go on a give a shout out! PTL! I could have revival that makes me so happy. Honestly, he's been a really good sleeper. We've had our share of rough days and nights, but overall it's been nice.

Enjoy the faux hawk and the sweetness known as Will.i.Am C. Perry. I know I do.

Unforgettable Moments

I need to post this stuff because I know my brain will forget if I don't.

As Zachary and I were leaving the gym on Saturday we had the most enlightening conversation.

Me: Man, I stink.
Zachary: Did you poop in your pants, Mom?

Apparently he does listen to us some of the time. He's heard that a lot lately.

He loves school! He adapts wherever he goes. He has jolly little personality that is infectious.

Andrew tracks out next week. It's hard for me to believe we're one semester down in 1st grade. He's doing really well and I can see a change in him this year. It's refreshing.

Will is still claiming the title of good baby. Just last night he slept from 11:45 - 5:30. He fell back asleep on the couch with Robbie, went back in bassinet at 6 something and got up at 8:15.

He's starting to smile more too. He recognizes our voices too. Of course he loves mine the most.

He HATES the car seat with a passion that cannot receive enough justice with words. I'm seriously contemplating buying a new one. It's torture for all parties involved.

Monkeying Around

Zachary - Life at 3

I hardly write about Zachary or Andrew. It's sad I know. Zachary just went to his 3 year appointment at the beginning of the month. Our favorite doctor is always booked and so we had to wait until September before he could get his 3 year appointment done.

Here are his stats:
Weight: 32 lbs (50%)
Height: 37 inches (32%)
BMI (I know, right): 16.4 (66%)

It seems like Zachary has gotten big on me all of a sudden. It happened the day we came home with Will. Zachary is now heavy to me, tall to me and a big boy in general.

Here are things I love about Zachary:
  • He talks ALL.THE.TIME - the only time he doesn't talk is when is mouth is full of food and he can't
  • He loves to sing
  • He loves school
  • He's very athletic and loves to run (makes mommy happy)
  • He is a cuddle bunny
  • He loves his mommy
  • He loves to play in the car
  • He's obsessed (to the point I think he needs therapy) with DVDs and DVD players
  • He loves Bob and Larry from Veggie Tales
  • He still naps most days for 2 plus hours
  • He wants to help me with Will all the time
  • He will climb any counter or structure to get what he wants. 5:00 in the morning isn't the time to find our child on top of the counter trying to get stuff off the top shelf in the cabinets
  • He reminds us of Pig Pen from Charlie Brown - a dust cloud follows him
  • Even though he reminds us of Pig Pen he is obsessed with washing his hands. I think it's because he likes to play in the water
  • We affectionately call him the Terminator. Robbie called him the Terminator the other day and Zachary looked at him and said, "I'll be back."
  • He eats all kinds of foods. YAY!
  • He is affectionate to everyone
  • He doesn't know a stranger and this scares me. He will tell anyone his name.
  • Potty training has taken steps backwards. This makes me sad and angry at the same time.
  • He fits in some 2T clothes, but he can wear 3T stuff
  • He's beautiful.
  • He loves church
I know there are more wonderful things to share about Zachary. To know him is to know love, excitement, challenges and to have your heart happy.

Zachary Ryan you make my heart super happy!

1 Month

Guess who is 1 month old already? Can you believe it?

Will continues to be a good baby. We've had a few rough days, but overall he's a great baby. He really has no choice given the older 2 are wide open.

I don't have a current weight, but I can assure you he is gaining weight at a steady pace. He's filling out quite nicely. He can still wear newborn outfits and some 3 month outfits depending on how they are made. We moved him up to size 1 diapers. He still gets up once a night (always between 3-4 am). He hates the swing! I'm in desperate need of something he'll like. We can't hold him all day long. He loves bath time and isn't a fan of getting out.

It's hard for me to believe we're one month down in Will's first year of life. Before I know it we'll be celebrating his 1st birthday.

3 Weeks

3 weeks old and what I like to call incredibly cute. This little guy weighs in at a whopping 8lbs 8oz.

A more detailed 3 week write up coming. For now enjoy the uber cuteness.

  • How old: 3 weeks
  • Weight: If I had to guess you're well into the 9lb range. You're filling out quite nicely.
  • Sleep: We're holding strong with the great sleeping habits. You've only gotten up a few nights 2 times, but most nights you only get up once. For instance, you went to bed last night around 11:45/12 and got up at 4:30. You slept from 5:00 until 7:30.
  • You poop a whole lot. Oh.my.goodness! You are one regular kid. We are going through diapers at an exponential rate. I should hit up Pampers and see if they'll send me some for being a loyal customer.
  • You're getting better at nursing, but I still pump after to make sure we don't miss anything.
  • You love to be snuggled.
  • You love bath time now. You are very calm and peaceful at bath time.
  • You sleep through the chaos known as Andrew and Zachary or Andrew and the Terminator. How in the world you do this I will never, ever know.
  • Your brothers love you and fight over who gets to hold you.
  • You love to be swaddled.
  • You're mighty beautiful. Your dark hair and blue eyes are mesmerizing. - Your eyes are still blue and the area right around your pupil is a nice shade of light blue. Lord, please. Your hair is slowly getting lighter and just like Andrew you have a hint of red to your hair. I have no clue where this comes from.
  • You're starting to focus a little more with your eyes. You look my way when I talk to you.
  • You've found your thumb on a couple of occasions.
  • You love to be outside. The fresh air agrees with you (and me too!).
  • You HATE the swing. For that fact, all of my boys hated this contraption. It's hitting the yard sale pile ASAP. Suggestions for a good swing/bouncy apparatus?
  • We moved up to size 1 diapers. You can still squeeze into Newborn size, but I believe the size 1s are more comfortable. Plus it has a better chance of holding your explosions.
  • You're a mama's boy... it's only natural. We all know I'm #1 in this house!
