Say it ain't so. How can 24 be over?

Dear Jack,
I missed the first few seasons of 24, but I promise Robbie and I will not rest this summer until we've seen every episode. Thank you for taking names and kicking good ol' fashion tushy. Ahhh, if only things really worked the way they do on 24 and especially at CTU. You didn't disappoint me tonight. I'm sad (just like Chloe), but there's small hope that your ending leaves room for the door to open again. One can hope, right?

XOXO,
Amy

Meredith College Y2K 10 Year Reunion

This past weekend my fellow alumna and I celebrated our 10 year reunion at Meredith College. I don't think words can fully express the fun we had, the memories shared from oh so long ago and the memories made this past weekend. Some of the below pictures were borrowed (notice I didn't say stolen and of course with permission) and some I took. I wish we could celebrate every month like we did this past weekend. I know we talked about getting together once a year, but I honestly don't think once a year is enough.

PS. Dear Frankie - I'll donate just for you. Cause, you know, "everyone loves Frankie"!

Happy Mother's Day

Happy Mother's Day all! I hope you've had a special day.

The boys gave me a new camera for Mother's Day. Hopefully it will be better than that piece I used to call "my camera".

Andrew - his debut on April 1, 2005 gives me even more reason to celebrate Mother's Day.

Zachary - his debut July 30, 2008 gave me even more reason to celebrate Mother's Day.

This morning before church. It's tough corralling this crew for a picture.

Two of the many reasons my heart flutters and is full of joy.
I love you, Andrew and Zachary! Thank you for being wonderful and being you.

Baby Smith

Today a friend of mine from IBM asked me to be in prayer for a family whose little boy was born at 23 weeks 6 days. My heart stopped when I read 23 weeks 6 days. I was sent to Duke at 23 weeks 5 days and was told if Zachary was born before 24 weeks and before I received the steroid shots his chances of survival was slim. I cannot imagine what this family is feeling right now or what they are going through. I have a small idea, but I'm sure my idea isn't even close.

Baby Smith (Smith being his first name) has extensive bleeding on his brain. There are four levels of bleeding, four being the worst. Smith has a level 3 on his right side and a level 4 on his left side. Will you pray for complete healing?

Smith's family has a blog they started when Smith was born. They keep it updated pretty regularly. Please keep them in your thoughts and prayers. I know the miracles God can perform. Many of you know of miracles God has performed. Pray for another miracle.

Try not to fall in love with Smith. I dare you. He is mighty precious.

Thank you friends!

Little Grasshopper

T-ball season is in full swing for us. Andrew has played in 2 games so far. T-ball is going a lot better for us than soccer. Andrew hits the ball well and hard too. He's getting better at catching, which I think is the toughest part of t-ball or baseball. He knows how to run fast, but forgets to after he hits the ball. I've seen him run fast, so I know he can do it. If you tell him Emma is outside playing he literally runs like Dash from The Incredibles. T-ball games and practice, not so much. We're working on it. All in all he's really good little t-ball player. Maybe this will be "his" sport. Who knows. I know his daddy would prefer a sport with a little white ball and a bunch of overpriced metal sticks.
