Ok, so I really try not to toot my own horn when something fabulous happens, but today I am! TOOT TOOT! Andrew's Halloween costume turned out better than I ever expected. I'll let you all be witness to its cuteness.

18 Month Check-up

I had my 18 month check-up today. Here are my stats:

Weight: 25 lbs. 12 oz
Height: 33 inches
Head: 19.5 inches

Doctor confirmed yet once again that I am perfect. I was a little scared of this visit b/c my last one I ended up with 4 shots, but not today. I'm good until the flu shot comes in. Mommy took me to get lunch, which also included "chups and cookas" (chips and cookies). I ate like a chammp, so I'm sure my weight has now gone over 26 lbs.

Other than my check-up, I'm working on perfecting my golf swing. I've gotten pretty good at it.

Pumpkin Patch Pictures

Pumpkin Patch Time

On Saturday Andrew and I met up with Hayden and his mommy, Heather. We decided to take the boys to a pumpkin patch/farm for some quality play time. Needless to say we were overwhelmed by Hill Ridge Farm and all they had to offer. The boys had a lot of fun running through the kiddie maze. Believe it or not Hayden and Andrew did quite well running through the maze. It was cute to watch them run after each other.

Along with our admission fee we got to ride the ponies (well Andrew and Hayden that is). Not so much fun for the boys. Andrew made it a few laps around and then he was done. I don't think he realized that the furry pony was actually going to move with him on his back. Hayden did a lot better than Andrew. He at least made the whole time.

Off to the sandbox and I'd say the boys enjoyed this the most. By this time Heather and I were worn slap out from chasing them all over this blessed farm. I'm pretty sure we came home with at least half of the sandbox in Andrew clothes, shoes and socks.

The hayride proved to be loads of fun as well. The hayride dropped up off to pick out our free (they let you think they are free) pumpkin. By this time we were all pooped and ready to go home. Andrew fell asleep in the car on the way back to Hayden's house.

I highly recommend Hill Ridge Farm in Youngsville. They even have fair type food, which unfortunately we did not partake in. Bummer! I think Andrew has a new BFF too. We had lots of fun Heather and Hayden! Let's get together really soon.

We're Home!

We Apexians are now home safe and sound! Actually, we came home last night. Once I heard the words leave Cullen Browder's mouth, I packed our mess and we came home. NOTE to WRAL: Don't say it if you don't mean it. People like me take you for the "God's honest word" and he said I could go home. Of course their website this morning said my area could go home this morning at 8:00am. Oh well! My peaceful night's sleep was worth breaking the rules.

Can we say draHma? Lord have mercy, we made the news news. Not just rinky dinky local news, but MSNBC, Fox News, CNN... we're famous I tell you. Yes, I'll be signing autographs this coming week. My agent will set up the public appearances. All kidding aside, I'm glad no one was seriously injured in what could have been a very serious issue. Don't get me wrong, chemical explosion is big, but I'm glad no one was actually in the plant when this happened.

Now that October has officially been kicked off with a bang, it's time for Fall festivities. Next week Andrew and I are heading out to Youngsville with Hayden and his mommy to pick pumpkins, pet animals, hayrides, corn maze fun, and all sorts of wild and crazy things. Hopefully next weekend's weather will be better than what we've got right now.

There's an Explosion Over Here, an Explosion Over There

Yeah, we're some of the unfortunate souls who were evacuated last night due to a chemical plant explosion in Apex. We're safe, and very fortunate my mom lives in an area that wasn't evacuated. We (me, Robbie, Andrew, Maggie, Tootsie, Chris (my bro.), Lauren (SIL) and Colin) all piled into Lil Mama's house last night to try (notice I said TRY) and get some sleep. Some of us faired better in the efforts of sleeping than others. Colin, slept like a champ. Andrew, not so much (Thanks, Andrew!!). Grammy, God bless her sweet and loving heart stayed up with Andrew until 4:00am until Andrew finally gave it up. In his defense he was sound asleep until I called Robbie to tell him to get things together.
I, on the other hand, was trying to make my way home from the NCSU game last night and found out I couldn't actually go home b/c my neighborhood was being evacuated. Robbie was left to the task of getting things together, which I must say he did a good job, but I still don't have anything to wear. Nice, I know! He got my baby out, which was the most important. So, we're just chillin' at Grammy's house waiting for the minute they say we can go home. Until then, I remain an evacuee with the rest of The Peak of Good Living.

Aunt Kat and Uncle Scott got married this weekend. I stayed with Grammy while Mommy and Daddy went to the beach for the wedding. Mommy said it was a beautiful weekend for a beach wedding. I think Aunt Kat looks beautiful too! Aunt Kat and Uncle Scott are in Hawaii for 2 weeks. I wish I was there!
