I'd be lying to you if I said I didn't care that the U/S technician told us Flutter is a boy. Don't get my words wrong, I'm in love with my child be it boy or girl, but my heart wanted a little girl for several reasons. Most of you know (those of you who have stuck around long enough) I am very close with my mom. She is the best and the greatest woman figure I've ever known. God couldn't have created a more perfect mom when he made her. We've always been tight. Some of my greatest childhood memories involve her (every Saturday was Mom & Me day). In my mind I pictured a dark haired, brown eyed, petite cutie that I would have my own Mom & Me days. Someone who (years and years and years from now) would fill my shoes as the "me" part and I would be the "mom" part. That's not to say I cannot have those with each of my boys, but it's different with girls. So, my heart sank just a bit on Tuesday, but then I started thinking about what my sweet and perfect little Will will look like, act like and be like and my heart grew 1,000 times.
As his mom, I know he will be perfect. Instead of long brown hair pulled back in a cute bow, he'll have dark, gorgeous hair that will swoop just right in his little boy haircut. I pray he has dark skin tone like Zachary. His eyes will be beautiful because I am 2 for 2 with children who have the most mesmerizing eyes. I have blue and Robbie has a beautiful shade of hazel. Andrew has eyes like Robbie and Zachary has the darkest of brown eyes. They are captivating. It's highly unlikely he'll have blue eyes. Stranger things have happened, but more than likely not. I picture a dimple on his right cheek. Lord, please bless him with the gene that will make him taller than me. His lips will be ruby red and the perfect shape and his nose will be of the cutest button. You can picture him now, can't you? Maybe I'll be spot on with my vision of Will and maybe not. I do know that his creator made him perfect in every way and waiting 5 more months seems like an eternity, but will be well worth the wait. I have 5 more months to wonder what he'll look like, be like and act like. It should be an entertaining 5 months on the ways I can refine my image.
William Cooper, you make my heart so very happy. I know you'll do great things with your life. I eagerly await your arrival (please make it closer to August). I love you, Mom.
