Christmas Play 2012

Zachary's school puts on a Christmas play every year.  This year Zachary was a caroler.  He makes a mighty fine caroler if I do say so myself.  Zachary LOVES to sing and dance.  It's no wonder he thoroughly enjoyed himself.  He's been singing his play songs for weeks now.  So much so I knew the words and motions.  After the play each class had their own Christmas party.  I love that his teachers pick the menu and the parents pick what they'd like to bring off the list.  They do get sweets, but they also get fruit, veggies and main meal.  More importantly, I'm thankful for Zachary's school and even more so that the emphasis of Christmas is on Christ and not a fat man wearing red.

Meadow Lights

We took the boys to Meadow Lights this past weekend.  Probably not our most brilliant move considering it was raining off an on on Sunday, but we had fun nonetheless.  Will couldn't get enough of the "Yi-ITES!!!" The older 2 enjoyed themselves as well.  They liked being able to identify the different light sets as we rode along on the train.  We topped off our trip with a stop at the old fashioned candy store.  Of course we had to ration out the candy because it's sold in a bag that is weighed.  If you live in the area of Benson (Raleigh, Cary, Morrisville, Apex, Holly Springs, etc) you should go.  It's amazing to see the creations.

 

 

Christmas with Santa

At the beginning of December we had breakfast with Santa.  The boys really enjoyed themselves.  I had a ton of pictures on my camera, but mysteriously they disappeared (ALL OF THEM).  I won't lay blame on any one person in my house (ahem Robbie Perry).  Thankfully the fabulous people at Bentwinds took pictures as well and they emailed them to me.  Typical pictures with Santa.  No one person looking at the camera.  Heads down, boys monkeying around, etc., but hey, it's proof we were there.

Randomly Random

I got a new camera for Christmas.  I know it's early, but I wanted to have it for Christmas festivities and so I got it early.  I have no idea how to use the thing to its fullest capabilities, but I fully intend on learning.  It's not a super fancy camera, but it's fancier than anything I've ever owned and it's a start.

World Prematurity Day

In honor of World Prematurity Day, our Terminator, the boy who captured our hearts at 2lbs 3oz and today makes us laugh, cry, pull our hair and laugh a little more.  Boy wonder, you make my heart happy!  Thank you for showing me to grab life by the horns and enjoy the ride.

Ken's Corn Maze

Last week Zachary's class went on a field trip to Ken's Corn Maze.  To say his class plus a few others had a great time is an understatement.  My boy was worn slam out from a day of romping through corn pits, playing on tractors, swings, rope mazes and finally a corn maze.  When we left, he was droopy eyed.  He ate his lunch and then fell asleep.  Will was worn out as well, but all he did was ride in a stroller.

The many faces of Will.  Chunky boy loves to put back some sweets.  I mean, you don't get such a voluptuous figure by eating fruits and veggies all the time.

Believe it or not, there were several more, but I knew I'd lose you after probably the first 2 or 3.  It is incredibly hard to get a 1 year old to focus, smile and say cheese.  Notice I had to hold the sticker.  1 year olds are on to the game.  He ripped that sucker right off the bat.  Hand full.  That's all I can say.  This one is a hand full.
