14 weeks

I'm 14 weeks

Pregnancy Highlights
  • How Far Along: 14 Weeks
  • Size of baby: Lemon
  • Total Weight Gain/Loss: 2 lbs total
  • Maternity Clothes: I pulled out the early maternity jeans, but can still wear regular clothes, but comfort is an issue after a day in regular clothes. I'm not scared to rock maternity clothes.
  • Gender: We'll know March 22nd
  • Movement: It's still early, but every once in a while I get a little bubble or two.
  • Sleep: So far this hasn't been interrupted
  • What I miss: Running and Body Pump
  • Cravings: I'm slowly getting over being repulsed by food. Japanese has been a huge craving lately. No fear I have a birthday coming up and that is where we shall dine!
  • Symptoms: I think I'm over the nausea hurdle. Yippee!
  • Best Moment this week: Hearing Little Flutter's (AKA Flutter) heartbeat at the appointment yesterday.
  • Next up: We find out what we're having AND they'll start measuring my cervix to make sure no funny business is taking place. You know, crazy idea of early labor and such. They'll start me on progesterone on week 18 and I'll continue until week 36. After week 36 it's all over but the shouting if Flutter decides to arrive.

Madagascar Live

We took the boys to see Madagascar Live today. This was their Valentine's treat from Robbie and me. We also ate a special lunch at Mellow Mushroom, which satisfied every member of the Perry family and our special guest, Buddy Bear, who is spending the weekend with Andrew. He's the class bear for Mrs. Farnsworth/Huber's class. Robbie and I weren't really sure how "the Terminator" would do during the show. He didn't receive his nickname by chance. He's 2 1/2 and all over the place. He only rests during sleep. He showed us up today. He sat in my lap the whole time and made not one peep. He was FANTASTIC! Andrew, Zachary and Buddy Bear appeared to love the show. It was super cute and worth every penny we paid. It was a fun family day! It's only here for a short while. If you can get tickets I definitely recommend going.

Proud

I've had several proud moments lately. Many have been the result of my oldest child and how he's turning into a little man right before my eyes. This week at school is his "God Made Me Special" week. On Monday he had to bring in a poster board (well half a poster board) of pictures of things he loves. Naturally pictures of the family are on there, pictures of Disney World, our dog, Duke and Star Wars. I asked him to explain his poster to me before he went to school just so he could practice talking about the pictures and such. With eyes wide with wonder and excitement he described each picture with vivid detail. I'm not sad he had more passion in his voice for Star Wars. It's his latest "thing". Monday afternoon I received the following e-mail from one of his teachers. Proud doesn't even remotely touch the surface of how much I love this child and how much he makes my heart so super happy.

"Dear Mr. and Mrs. Perry,

I just wanted to jot a quick email to let you know how well Andrew did with his God Made Me Special presentation today. He had the most handsome smile on his face the whole time he was talking. When he was explaining about his family he said, "They are very special to me and I love them very much. They play with me and they love me and they are the best family." I wanted to burst into tears right then! He is a precious boy and we've all enjoyed getting to know him throughout this year. May God continue to bless you all. "

Proud. That is exactly how I feel at this moment in time.

Important Announcement

So our family is going from this:

My Stick Family from WiddlyTinks.com

To this (prayerfully around August 21, 2011):

My Stick Family from WiddlyTinks.com

We are excited about this new addition and cannot wait for his or her (we'll know March 22nd) arrival no sooner than August. Andrew wants a sister and Zachary is oblivious.
