23 weeks

I am 23 weeks 5 days, which is a momentous occasion

Pregnancy Highlights

  • How Far Along: 23 Weeks
  • Size of baby: Large mango (just over 1lb and over 11 inches long)
  • Total Weight Gain/Loss: 13 lbs total - Apparently Baby Will and I decided to grow some. My belly has officially "popped".
  • Maternity Clothes: Still in the early maternity pants. My shirts are still regular size. I'm assuming once Will "pops" I'll be able to take advantage of my full maternity wardrobe. Any day now I'd like to take advantage of my full maternity collection. Today I have on a maternity shirt. Woo hoo!
  • Gender: BOY! William (Will) Cooper Perry
  • Movement: Will is definitely a mover. He moves all day long. Is this a sign of what's to come?
  • Sleep: It's dicey. Some nights are better than others.
  • What I miss: Running and Body Pump
  • Cravings: Salads and sandwiches - exclamation on the sandwich part.
  • Symptoms: Still tired some days. Right now I'm fighting a losing battle with the pollen. Makes breathing a little more difficult. The progesterone shots are making me itch on my rear end, which is quite amusing to some folks in my house.
  • Best Moment this week: It was 3 years ago at 23 weeks 5 days when I was told I was in labor and if my child were to be born right now he more than likely would not make it. Will and I have officially made it (knock on wood) successfully to 23 weeks and 5 days and thankfully and prayerfully we are still movin' and a shakin'! #colormeallkindsofhappy
Side note, it just dawned on me that this little guy shares the same name as the groom of today's hottest news. Andrew wanted to name this baby Kate if it was a girl. Ironic? Of course I do believe my Prince William will be far more stunning and if he wants to bring home a cutie like Kate Middleton... by all means please do. Was she not gorgeous? What a classy gal! I think Princess Diana is beyond proud of her son. I know I would be.

  • Best Moment this week: Hearing Will's heartbeat loud and strong at the doc's office. My doctor mentioned I'm measuring a week early. I noticed during Will's U/S his measurements were measuring a week early. Who knows?!?
Next week marks "the week" when Zachary and I hit the skids. We're praying that week 23 passes into 24 and so on. Nothing any sooner than 36 weeks is what we're gearing for. Pray about that, would you?

  • Gender: BOY! William (Will) Cooper Perry

20 weeks

I am 20 weeks and 3 days

Pregnancy Highlights

  • How Far Along: 20 Weeks

  • Size of baby: Length of a banana (10.5 oz and 10 inches head to toe)

  • Total Weight Gain/Loss: 6 lbs total

  • Maternity Clothes:Still in the early maternity pants and anything with stretchy waist, which is basically my workout pants. Tops are still regular, but I'm looking forward to the maternity shirts. I still have clothes from last go round that have tags on them.

  • Gender: BOY! William (Will) Cooper Perry

  • Movement: Will is definitely a mover. He moves all day long. Is this a sign of what's to come?

  • Sleep: So far so good this week. I go to bed on my left side, wake up on my right and move back to my left.

  • What I miss: Running and Body Pump

  • Cravings: Salads and sandwiches

  • Symptoms: Other than being tired at the end of the day, I have none to complain about. I think the tiredness comes from the 2 active boys running around my house. I've started experiencing side stitches that are quite painful.

  • Best Moment this week: We're halfway, baby!
